Thomas W. CorbettChairman and Chief Executive Officer
Thomas Corbett serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. In addition, he sits on the company’s board of directors. Corbett joined Alliant in 1977 as a producer and launched its Newport Beach-based Public Entity Group. Prior to joining Alliant, Corbett was with Allendale Insurance in Los Angeles and spent three years as a loss prevention engineer at Factory Mutual Engineering Association. Corbett is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach. He is currently involved in various community and charitable organizations.
Greg ZimmerPresident and Chief Financial Officer
Greg Zimmer serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., and is a member of the company’s board of directors. In conjunction with other members of senior management, Zimmer is responsible for implementing the strategic direction of the firm. He also is responsible for corporate operations and all mergers and acquisitions activity. Prior to joining Alliant in 1998, Zimmer and his partners built a significant financial services firm that ultimately was sold to GMAC, where he served as Senior Vice President. His career also includes corporate finance and venture capital experience while serving as Vice President at Security Pacific, which ultimately merged with Bank of America. Zimmer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics/systems science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master’s degree from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
Jerold D. HallSenior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Jerold Hall serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., and sits on the company’s board of directors. His responsibilities are principally focused on the national sales and service operations of the company. Hall joined Alliant in 1988 as a surety broker and assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in 1996. He began his insurance career in 1981 after earning a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, where he majored in business administration and psychology. In 1993, Hall received a master’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
Ralph HurstPresident, National Brokerage Group
Ralph Hurst serves as President of the National Brokerage Group for Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., and is a member of the company’s executive committee. He has played a central role in the establishment and management of several of the firm’s major programs, including the Public Entity Property Insurance Program (PEPIP), the Hospital All Risk Property Program (HARPP), and the Tribal Property Insurance Program (TPIP). Hurst joined Alliant in 1987 as a producer after a 10-year tenure with the Factory Mutual Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology-fire science from California State University, Los Angeles.
Sean McConlogue, ARMPresident, Alliant Specialty Insurance Services
Sean McConlogue serves as President of Alliant Specialty Insurance Services and has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with particular emphasis on specialty program development. Before joining the company in 2003, McConlogue served as President of Affinity Insurance Services, LLC, and prior to that held senior-level management positions with Tristar Insurance Services, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., and Xerox Corporation. McConlogue earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s degree in international management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
Diana KiehlChief Administrative Officer
Diana Kiehl serves as Chief Administrative Officer of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. In this position, she partners with key executives to broaden sales and service best practices within the company’s numerous specialty groups and practices. In addition, she oversees the company’s human resources function and its client-focused business services group. Kiehl joined Alliant in 1991 as an associate producer and was promoted to producer in 1993, helping to build such specialty programs as the Owner-Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) and the Hospital All Risk Property Program (HARPP). Subsequently, she held several management positions with the company, and in 2006 was promoted to Managing Director of Brokerage Services. Kiehl earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, a master’s degree from Pepperdine University, and attended Wharton’s Management Education Program.
Walter HarrisVice Chairman and Senior Managing Director
In his role with Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., Walter Harris directs the operations of the Commercial and Corporate Risk Group, overseeing all daily operations nationwide while providing strategic leadership and direction. Harris was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of T&H Group Inc., one of the largest privately held insurance brokerage firms in the country. T&H Group was acquired by Alliant in 2011. Harris serves as an advisor to investors in insurance entities and has a particular expertise in alternative risk financing, including captive insurance companies. In addition, he has acted as special counsel in several major insurance coverage litigations. Harris received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1974 and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley in 1977. He also received an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1982.
Peter ArkleySenior Managing Director
Peter Arkley joined Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. in 2011 and has brought together the premier construction risk management talent in the United States. In his role as Senior Managing Director, Construction Services Group, Arkley is directly responsible for insurance and surety operations, including owner-controlled and contractor-controlled programs, environmental, professional, subguard, and contract and commercial bonds. Arkley also is responsible for the development and implementation of the construction business and financial strategy. Prior to joining Alliant, Arkley served as Chief Executive Officer of the construction operations at Aon, an international insurance brokerage firm. Prior to joining Aon in 1994, Arkley held senior executive positions with Marsh & McLennan and Johnson & Higgins in New York and Los Angeles. He began his career in 1977 with American International Group where his central focus was financial services products such as directors and officers and fiduciary liability insurance.
Kevin OverbeySenior Managing Director
As Senior Managing Director of the Employee Benefits Group at Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., Kevin Overbey brings more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits services and international business to clients of Alliant. Prior to joining the company, Overbey was a founding and managing partner of ClearPoint, an employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm that grew to become one of the largest privately held insurance brokers in the Pacific Northwest. ClearPoint was acquired by Alliant in 2008. Before joining ClearPoint, Overbey served as Vice President for The Reppond Company and prior to that was regional manager for UNUM Life Insurance Company in both Canada and the United States. Overbey earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and communications from Oregon State University.
Jeffrey MoenchSenior Managing Director
Jeffrey Moench serves as Senior Managing Director of the Specialty Group for Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. and is a member of the company’s executive committee. His management responsibilities include the nationwide strategic direction of the Public Entity, Healthcare, Real Estate, and Energy and Marine operations for Alliant. Prior to joining Alliant in 2005, Moench’s career included 15 years with FM Global, AIG, and Marsh. Moench earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering at Arizona State University and holds a Professional Engineer designation.
